eCast takes the issues of privacy and HIPAA-compliance very seriously. No patient health information (PHI) of any kind is shared with any third party for any reason without express written consent of the originating source. Personal and/or financial information is shared only by authorized personnel of the eCast organization for the purpose of meeting your information needs and serving you better.

DATA SECURITY
eCast undergoes an exhaustive data security analysis periodically and implements the highest levels of security to protect your data. Its data centers in Raleigh, NC and Charlotte, NC are hardened, power-protected and behind a reliable firewall. All data is backed up redundantly to several servers and disk subsystems daily to both data centers.

DATA OWNERSHIP
All data housed at the eCast data centers belongs to the originating provider(s) at all times. To give providers the ultimate in data security, eCast has an add-on product known as eCast Assurance that allows a medical office to have a backup copy of their data at all times. Additionally, eCast Assurance acts as a web server in the event the internet were to temporarily become unavailable.
